Our sun-kissed summer facade has long since faded, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept dull, lifeless-looking skin all winter long. This season we are not only on a mission to combat dryness and keep hydrated, but also to maintain a natural, healthy glow.
We all know that cooler weather plays havoc on our skin. Changes in temperature, heating, hot showers, cold air, wind dehydrate and devitalize our skin often leaving it rough, dry and sometimes flaky. This means we have to step up our skincare TLC.
Make sure you shed those dry dead skin cells as a build-up is no good for anyone! A regular scrub (think twice per week) using a gentle exfoliator will make all the difference. An exfoliator will not only remove unwanted dead nasties but will promise to have your skin impeccably clean, soft and radiant in a matter of moments.
Switch to a more nourishing moisturiser and introduce a serum to your skin care routine. Skin is extra thirsty in winter and will benefit from a quenching dose of moisture. Apply a few drops of your serum under your moisturizer for a dewy radiant complexion.
3. Love your eyes
One particular area quick to suffer the effects of winter are the eyes. Often taken for granted, this sensitive area is usually the first to show signs of aging and lack of care. Drench the eye contours with super hydrating Eye Cream rich in Collagen and skin firming elastin. Dehydration lines will be a thing of the past.
4. Body Love
Lather your body as you would your face, with plenty of rich cream and pay particular attention to super dry areas such as elbows, knees and heels. Applying your body lotion/cream in the bathroom following a warm bath or shower is a great way to ensure your body readily absorbs the moisture as the warmth in the air will help open your pores locking in the moisture.
5. Safeguard skin
Just because it isn’t hot doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use your sunscreen. A super hydrating sunscreen in the winter months will benefit your ailing dry skin.
